The Yb:YAG crystal is a laser gain medium known for its outstanding optical performance, high energy output, and excellent thermal management. Grown using the advanced Czochralski method, it efficiently absorbs pump light in the 900-980nm range, making it highly compatible with high-power diode lasers. With an exceptionally high laser damage threshold, Yb:YAG is an ideal choice for high-power laser systems and is widely used in industrial laser processing, medical devices, and scientific research applications.
In terms of performance, the Yb:YAG crystal offers multiple advantages: its 1030nm laser emission wavelength is particularly well-suited for material processing applications; its long fluorescence lifetime (approximately 1ms) provides ideal conditions for energy storage; and its excellent thermal conductivity (around 13W/m·K) ensures superior thermal stability during high-power operation. These properties make Yb:YAG the preferred material for high-power laser marking, precision welding, LiDAR systems, and medical laser devices. The crystal enables stable generation of nanosecond laser pulses, meeting the diverse requirements of both industrial processing and medical applications.
Our Yb:YAG crystal products undergo rigorous quality control procedures, including optical homogeneity inspection, wavefront distortion testing, and laser damage threshold evaluation, ensuring exceptional reliability and consistent performance in high-power laser applications.
Precautions: To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to store and operate the crystal at 25 °C with a relative humidity of 40%–60%. If the surface becomes contaminated, gently clean it with 99% or higher isopropyl alcohol and lint-free optical tissue. Avoid using rough fabrics, water, or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the coating or surface quality.
