Under the effect of Bragg diffraction, the LBTEK acousto-optic modulator produces only first-order diffracted light and transmitted light. It can be used as an optical switch (periodically switching the light at a set frequency) or as a variable attenuator (dynamically controlling the intensity of the transmitted or first-order diffracted light). It is suitable for applications such as laser marking, lithography, material processing, medical surgery, and micromachining. LBTEK offers both free-space and fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators, allowing customers to choose according to their application scenarios. Matching RF drivers are also provided, capable of generating specific waveforms by inputting different modulation signals.
The LBTEK acousto-optic modulator can be used as an optical switch (periodically switching the light at a set frequency) or as a variable attenuator (dynamically controlling the intensity of the transmitted or first-order diffracted light). The fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators from LBTEK feature fiber lengths greater than 0.8 m with FC/APC connectors, ensuring convenient integration for customers. LBTEK offers fiber-coupled acousto-optic modulators for wavelengths of 780 nm, 1064 nm, and 1550 nm, and provides matching RF drivers.
