The LBTEK SK010PA Series Polarization Analyzer is a versatile measurement and testing system designed for coupling beams into polarization-maintaining fibers or for free-space use. It is plug-and-play and can be directly connected to a Windows device via a USB port. The device features a compact design, making it easy to integrate into existing systems and allowing for fast alignment and measurement. During polarization state measurement, the Stokes parameters are displayed in real time on the software interface, and the polarization state is visualized on the Poincaré sphere. The LBTEK Polarization Analyzer comes standard with the following accessories: FC/APC fiber adapter, USB data cable, and M4-thread adapter, providing convenience for users.
When using the LBTEK Polarization Analyzer, the beam is first directed through either a free-space input or an FC/APC fiber interface onto the target plane. Inside the analyzer, a quarter-wave plate and a polarizer are integrated. By rotating the wave plate, the polarization state of the incident beam is adjusted so that the transmitted light is aligned with the polarizer’s transmission axis. The photodetector receives the optical signal, and the software processes the photodiode signal along with the timing/position information of the quarter-wave plate to calculate the corresponding Stokes parameters. The polarization state is then plotted on the Poincaré sphere, allowing any changes in polarization to be directly observed. The SK010PA series also comes standard with an M4-thread adapter for securely mounting the polarization analyzer.
