The LBTEK Miniature Balanced Photodetector Module integrates two matched high-linearity analog PIN detectors and a low-noise, wideband transimpedance amplifier. It features high gain, high sensitivity, wide bandwidth, low noise, and excellent common-mode rejection ratio, effectively reducing common-mode noise from the input light and improving the system signal-to-noise ratio. The module uses an FC/APC fiber input interface, and the electrical signal is output through an SMA connector. It is primarily used in applications such as OCT measurements, wind lidar, nanosecond pulse light detection, and heterodyne detection. LBTEK offers Si miniature balanced photodetectors with a wavelength range of 320–1000 nm and InGaAs miniature balanced photodetectors with a wavelength range of 800–1700 nm.
The LBTEK InGaAs Ultra-Low-Noise Miniature Balanced Photodetector operates in the 800–1700 nm wavelength range and uses an FC/APC fiber input. It is available in five selectable bandwidth options: 75 MHz, 100 MHz, 200 MHz, 400 MHz, and 500 MHz.
Note: The standard product uses AC-coupled output by default. DC-coupled output is available upon request.
