LBTEK pyroelectric laser energy meters offer three optional coatings: black, metal, and ceramic. The black and ceramic coatings operate over a wavelength range of 190 nm to 25 μm, while the metal coating covers 190 nm to 2.5 μm. Within these wavelength ranges, the energy meters provide a flat response. They feature a wide energy measurement range, capable of detecting pulse energies from 1 μJ to 15 J. Additionally, they offer a broad selection of detector areas, with maximum incident beam diameters ranging from 4 mm to 45 mm.
The general-purpose pyroelectric laser energy meter is designed for measuring pulsed lasers. The pyroelectric sensor converts the energy of light pulses into voltage pulses and is not suitable for continuous-wave laser measurement. Its black coating provides a flat absorption curve over the 190 nm–25 μm wavelength range, making it ideal for low-power, wavelength-independent energy measurements. The PEM20/45-HP model supports higher average power densities. The energy meter can be connected directly to an oscilloscope with a 1 MΩ input impedance or to the LBPEM710 meter via a BNC connector. To accommodate higher repetition rates when connected to an oscilloscope, the load resistance can be reduced. The general-purpose pyroelectric energy meter offers multiple effective detector areas: 4 mm, 8 mm, 11 mm, 20 mm, 21 mm, 34 mm, and 45 mm. Each unit includes a 1.5 m connection cable with BNC and E connectors at each end.
