LBTEK’s dual-threaded SM1 lens tube features an SM1 external thread on one end and an SM1 internal thread on the other, primarily used for mounting Ø25.4 mm optical elements. The position of the optical element can be finely adjusted along the optical axis by rotating the tube; once the desired position is reached, it can be locked in place using the SM1NR external retaining ring. Each lens tube also comes with one SM1R retaining ring for securing the optical element.
The SM1-8V, SM1-20V, and SM1-33V versions have an internal thread depth of 12.5 mm, while SM1-20VT and SM1-33VT have an internal thread depth of 16.5 mm. The external thread lengths are 12.5 mm, 25 mm, and 38 mm, respectively, supporting a maximum optical element thickness of 10.5 mm or 14.5 mm. The minimum adjustable range equals the thickness of the external retaining ring, while the maximum adjustable range equals the total external thread length minus the thickness of the external retaining ring and the minimum thread engagement depth of 2 mm.
