LBTEK magnetic quick-release mounts are designed for free-space applications and feature a center SM1 thread for mounting Ø25.4 mm optical components. The top and bottom plates are coupled by two pairs of strong magnets, allowing fast and convenient assembly and removal. A ball-and-V-groove design ensures precise positioning, with a three-point contact structure that enhances stability and repeatability. Each contact point uses a precision steel ball and two parallel dowel pins to form the positioning mechanism.
LBTEK Magnetic Quick-Release Mount MKB-1A consists of two parts: the back plate (MKB-1A-A) and the front plate (MKB-1A-B). They are coupled by NdFeB magnets and 440C precision steel balls, allowing the front plate to be easily attached to or removed from the optical system during use. Using the included SM1R retaining ring, optical components up to 9 mm thick can be secured in the SM1 internal thread of the front plate. The back plate also features an SM1-threaded hole for attaching additional components and an M4-threaded hole at the bottom for free-space mounting.
