The LBTEK quick-release filter mounting tube enables fast replacement of Ø25.4 mm (1 inch) filters or optical elements in experimental setups without disassembling other components. The mounting tube consists of a holder and a slotted outer housing, connected by magnetic attraction for quick installation and removal. The mounting tube is fully compatible with SM1 tubes and can be stacked for flexible use. Two versions are available: one for optics with thicknesses of 0–3.5 mm and another for 3.5–6.5 mm.
The LBTEK quick-release filter mounting tube is designed for Ø25.4 mm (1 inch) optical elements with thicknesses of either 0–3.5 mm or 3.5–6.5 mm. The assembly consists of two parts: the slotted outer housing QTFM3.5-B and the filter holder QTFMXX-A. These components are connected via magnetic attraction, enabling rapid attachment and removal. The slotted housing features both SM1 external and internal threads, ensuring compatibility with SM1 tubes. It includes an SM1NR retaining ring, allowing the mount to be fixed securely in a specific rotational orientation. Multiple holders can also be stacked for flexible configurations.
Note: During use, press the stainless-steel cap of QTFMXX-A in the arrow direction with your right-hand fingers. At the same time, gently press the center of the magnetic component inside with your left thumb and push in the arrow direction to open the spring clip. Then, release your left thumb, insert the optical element into the holder so that it is tangent to the two cylindrical pins, and finally release the stainless-steel cap.
