LBTEK offers translating mounts for rectangular optical elements, available in both XY two-axis and single-axis versions. These mounts can accommodate rectangular flat optics up to 4 mm thick and with widths ranging from 12.5 mm to 127 mm. Each translation axis is equipped with a vernier scale, providing repeatable positioning with a resolution of 100 μm. The mounts feature M4 threaded holes for versatile post-mounting orientations. Nylon-tipped set screws are used to secure the optical elements while preventing damage to their surfaces.
The LBTEK single-axis translation stages MS-50X and MS-100X are designed for mounting rectangular flat optical elements. MS-50X accommodates optics with widths from 12.5 mm to 77 mm, while MS-100X supports widths from 12.5 mm to 127 mm. Both models can hold optics with a maximum thickness of 4 mm. The optics are secured by two clamping arms, each equipped with two nylon-tipped screws. The arms can slide within channels to fit different optic sizes. The drive provides manual adjustment over 50 mm (MS-50X) or 100 mm (MS-100X) travel range. The translation axis includes a vernier scale with 100 μm resolution, allowing precise and repeatable positioning. Both the clamping arms and the drive can be locked using a 2 mm hex wrench. The stage includes seven M4 threaded mounting holes, enabling installation from three different orientations. By loosening the top locking screw, the clamping arms can be removed from the channels and interchanged. These translation stages are well-suited for general single-axis translation applications and custom-built microscope systems, as well as for use with LBTEK rectangular test targets, filters, mirrors, and windows.
Note: When mounted in the clamping arms, approximately 4.5 mm at each end of the optic will be obscured.
