Adjustable halogen lamp output for balanced deuterium-halogen spectrum
Output Interface: SMA905 standard connector
Output Fiber: Optional, sold separately
The deuterium-halogen combined light source integrates the complementary spectral ranges of deuterium and halogen lamps, covering 190–400 nm in the UV region and 360–2500 nm in the visible to near-infrared region. The halogen output is adjustable, allowing for a balanced spectral output when combined with the deuterium lamp.
The halogen lamp operates based on the principle of thermal radiation: when sufficient current flows through the tungsten filament, it heats to an incandescent state, emitting light. Its lifetime is closely related to operating temperature—higher color temperature generally shortens the lifespan.
LBTEK deuterium-halogen light sources adopt an SMA905 output connector for efficient coupling. For optimal performance below 300 nm, especially where standard quartz fibers show absorption, LBTEK recommends pairing with the XSR600-1 UV-resistant pretreated quartz fiber to achieve the best transmission and stability.
