Blazed gratings use grooves to transfer and concentrate optical energy from the zero order into a specific diffraction order, making them widely used dispersive elements in spectroscopic applications. LBTEK blazed gratings are replicated gratings, offering first-order diffraction efficiencies of over 60% at the blaze wavelength. This series of blazed gratings features an aluminum-coated surface.
LBTEK offers blazed gratings designed for wavelengths of 300 nm, 500 nm, 750 nm, 1000 nm, 1250 nm, and 1500 nm, with groove densities of 300 lines/mm, 600 lines/mm, and 1200 lines/mm. The gratings are coated with aluminum, and their optimal diffraction efficiency at the blaze wavelength ranges between 60% and 80%. For custom sizes or wavelengths, please contact LBTEK technical support.
Note: These aluminum coatings are not protected with a SiO₂ overcoat. Avoid contamination from fingerprints and aerosols. Dust should only be removed using clean, dry air or nitrogen. Since the metallic coating is chemically unstable and sensitive to environmental temperature and humidity, oxidation and degradation may occur; therefore, it is recommended to store the gratings in a dry cabinet after use. Minor surface imperfections may be present on the grating surface but do not affect performance, and such gratings are considered qualified products.
