LBTEK offers UV-enhanced aluminum coated concave mirrors, ideally suited for beam focusing, collimation, and light collection in the ultraviolet spectral range. These mirrors provide high reflectivity over a broad UV bandwidth, while reflections from the metallic surface ensure no chromatic aberrations are introduced.
Since metallic coatings are prone to oxidation and discoloration in high-humidity environments, LBTEK applies a SiO₂ protective overcoat to prevent direct contact of the aluminum layer with air. This protective layer helps maintain optical performance by reducing oxidation risks and extending durability.
