The LBTEK laser line variable polarizing beamsplitter integrates a quartz air-spaced half-wave plate (mounted in an RM05 rotation mount) with a laser line polarizing beamsplitter cube (mounted in a 30 mm cage cube).
A top index mark indicates the optical path orientation. The fast axis of the waveplate is preset and aligned with the 0° index mark on the rotation mount, locked at the initial position so that the incident polarization remains unchanged. By loosening the lock with the included spanner wrench, the half-wave plate can be smoothly rotated, enabling continuous adjustment of the transmitted intensity of linearly polarized light.
