LBTEK reflective neutral density filters use an N-BK7 substrate with a chromium-nickel-iron alloy coating, available in optical density (OD) values from 0.2 to 4.0. Sizes include Ø12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm, and 50.8 mm × 50.8 mm. LBTEK filters can be mounted in threaded sleeves or coaxial mounting plates for use in coaxial systems, or installed in free-space setups.
LBTEK circular mounted reflective neutral density attenuators offer an optical density (OD) range of 0.2–4.0, with optical element sizes of Ø12.7 mm and Ø25.4 mm. By coating one side of an N-BK7 substrate with a chromium-nickel-iron alloy, a stable OD curve is achieved across the 350–1100 nm wavelength range. Although classified as reflective neutral density filters, the chromium-nickel-iron alloy coating also absorbs part of the incident light. For optimal performance, incident light should enter from the chromium-nickel-iron coated side. Since this metallic coating is unprotected, care must be taken to avoid contact, as touching may scratch the surface. For cleaning, the use of an air blower is recommended. The MNDFR series reflective neutral density attenuators are pre-mounted in removable standard lens sleeves, with product model, operating wavelength, and OD value engraved on the housing for easy identification.
