LBTEK achromatic six-segmented waveplates are made with an N-BK7 glass substrate and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) material, consisting of three layers of liquid crystal true zero-order six-segment waveplates arranged at specific angles. In each layer of the LCP film, the liquid crystal molecules' fast axis orientation is consistent, and the three layers are designed to overlap, creating the overall fast axis orientation of the achromatic six-segment waveplate. The delay of each region is controlled by adjusting the thickness of each LCP film layer and the relative fast axis angle of each corresponding region.
LBTEK's achromatic six-segmented waveplates are commonly used to achieve different polarization state changes for light incident in different regions. They feature nearly true zero-order characteristics, supporting large incident angles, and are less sensitive to wavelength and temperature variations. Compared to true zero-order six-segment waveplates, they are not limited to specific working wavelengths and can achieve varying polarization state changes in different incident regions over a wavelength range.
The standard design wavelength of the achromatic six-segment waveplate is 400-700 nm, with a delay of λ/2. It is installed in a standard SM1 lens tube, and the surface of the tube is engraved with the product model and the fast axis identification line for the 0° fast axis region, making it easy for customers to identify and use the waveplate.
LBTEK achromatic six-segmented waveplates can achieve different polarization state changes for light incident in different regions within a specific wavelength range. After passing through each region of the achromatic six-segment waveplate, the optical path difference for linearly polarized light is λ/2, and the phase delay is π. The waveplate is installed in a standard SM1 lens tube, with the surface of the tube engraved with the product model and fast axis 0° region identification line, making it easy for users to quickly identify and use the waveplate.
