In Nd:YAG laser applications, it is often necessary to separate the fundamental frequency from its harmonic components. LBTEK Nd:YAG Harmonic Beamsplitters are designed based on the wavelength-selective transmission and reflection properties of specialized optical coatings. The incident surface is coated with a beamsplitter coating that effectively separates the Nd:YAG laser harmonics, while the exit surface is coated with a V-type anti-reflection coating to minimize reflections at the air-glass interface. Compared to the typical ~4% surface reflectance of uncoated optics, the AR coating reduces the average reflectance of each surface to below 0.5% within the specified wavelength range. In addition, a 30-arcmin wedge structure is incorporated to effectively reduce interference effects between reflections from the incident and exit surfaces. LBTEK offers Nd:YAG Harmonic Beamsplitters in four wavelength configurations, available in two sizes: Ø12.7 mm and Ø25.4 mm.
LBTEK Nd:YAG Harmonic Beamsplitters are designed for separating Nd:YAG laser harmonics. They not only minimize interference from reflected beams but can also be used to deflect specific wavelengths. Four wavelength configurations are available.
