A plano-convex lens has one flat surface and one convex surface, providing a positive focal length. It is commonly used for beam reduction, focal length shortening, or image magnification. To minimize spherical aberration, a plano-convex lens should be oriented with the curved surface facing the collimated beam when focusing, and with the flat surface facing the point source when collimating. LBTEK manufactures a wide range of lenses using N-BK7, the most common optical glass material, widely applied in the visible and near-infrared spectral regions. LBTEK plano-convex lenses have a positive focal length and are commonly used for imaging or beam collimation. They are manufactured from RoHS-compliant N-BK7 glass, one of the most widely used materials for high-quality optical components, particularly suitable for applications in the visible and near-infrared spectral ranges. All LBTEK circular lenses are pre-mounted in standard lens tubes or lens adapter mounts. The mechanical housings are engraved with the product model, type, diameter, and focal length, allowing users to quickly and easily identify lens parameters.
