The LBTEK Ø25 mm flexible rod holder is designed to clamp Ø25 mm rods and is available in two types: the standard Ø25 mm flexible rod holder and the base-style Ø25 mm flexible rod holder. The difference between the two is that the standard Ø25 mm flexible rod holder (FPH-xxA series) has an M6 threaded through mounting hole at the bottom, with the rod unable to pass through the holder, leaving a minimum distance of 6.1 mm from the platform surface. In contrast, the base-style Ø25 mm flexible rod holder (FPH-xxB series) has a Ø47×6.1 mm base at the bottom, which can be used with the LBTEK rod holder fork block PHC1.5 for flexible mounting on the optical platform. The center of the base is a fully through hole, meeting the minimum beam height requirement.
Both types of rod holders feature a round groove and a square groove. The round groove allows the metal to bend under stress, thereby securing the rod, and after locking, the square groove forms two fixed contact lines with the rod to ensure maximum clamping force. The flexible locking function is achieved by using an M4 internal hexagonal cylindrical screw.
The LBTEK standard Ø25 mm flexible rod holder can be locked by tightening the M4 internal hexagonal cylindrical screw with a 3 mm hex wrench. The circular groove on the central hole allows the metal to bend and secure the rod without breaking. Once locked, the square groove forms two fixed contact lines with the rod to ensure maximum clamping force. The bottom features an M6 mounting screw hole, allowing the rod holder to be flexibly mounted on the optical breadboard when used with our rod base (PRB-1) or mounting base (PB-x series). It can also be directly secured to the breadboard using M6 screws.
