The LBTEK Basic Fiber Coupling System is designed to manually couple a free-space laser beam into an optical fiber patch cable. In addition to the essential mechanical components, the system includes a CT-1 alignment plate for the 30 mm cage system, ensuring proper beam collimation while aligning the beam through the optical element center.
The fiber patch cable interface depends on the user-selected fiber collimator (to be provided by the user). First, check that the beam is correctly aligned with the fiber collimator center; then confirm that the output spot is circular. Once both conditions are met, insert the fiber and monitor the output at the fiber end. For higher coupling efficiency, the system works in conjunction with two adjustable mirror mounts and an MFT translation stage for collimation adjustments.
