LBTEK offers the Adjustable Square Slit ASR12, designed for free-space applications. The slit is mounted with an M4 threaded hole at the base. Its adjustment is achieved via precision screw drives, with a range of 0 – 12 mm square. Each screw provides a 0.5 mm movement per turn, and the bi-directional adjustment enables arbitrary square apertures within the 0 – 12 mm range. Four independent knobs control four slit blades (each adjustable from 0 – 6 mm), allowing flexible square aperture configurations.
When fully closed, the theoretical slit width is 0; however, due to machining and assembly tolerances, a residual gap of 0.02 – 0.05 mm may remain. The slit blades are made of wear-resistant tool steel with black surface treatment to minimize harmful reflections, while the edges are finely ground to ensure flatness and burr-free surfaces.
Notes: If burrs or uneven edges appear after long-term use, gently wipe the edges with alcohol.
Please adjust strictly within the specified travel range; over-extension may cause the lead screws to disengage.
