For Pair Coupling
The LBTEK Pigtail GRIN Collimator consists of a connector, optical fiber, and collimating head. It efficiently collimates light transmitted through the fiber into free space, and can also function as a receiver to couple collimated free-space beams back into the fiber. This type of small-spot pigtail collimator is commonly used in miniaturized communication devices, where light from the fiber is collimated into free space, passes through filtering, polarization, or other processing, and is then coupled back into the fiber through another collimator. As a result, the working distance is relatively short. GRIN products for pair coupling are manufactured in matched pairs, so each box contains two collimators for convenient paired use. They offer extremely low pairing loss and very high coupling efficiency.
