The LBTEK air gap dual-lens collimator, pre-aligned, is designed to collimate laser light emitted from optical fibers, providing diffraction-limited performance at the operating wavelength, with excellent chromatic and spherical aberration correction. The collimator has a compact overall structure and features an anti-reflection coating that significantly reduces surface reflections. Each collimator is factory-aligned for its specific operating wavelength, with the lens positioned at a focal length from the tip of the fiber inserted into the collimator. Additionally, the FC/APC version features a beveled connector, directing the beam emitted from the fiber into the collimator along the perpendicular focal plane.
LBTEK air gap dual-lens collimators are available in multiple wavelengths from 405 nm to 1550 nm. They offer three fiber connector versions: FC/PC, FC/APC, and SMA. The LBTEK air gap dual-lens collimator has no moving parts and is compact, unaffected by misalignment, simplifying the coupling of free-space lasers to optical fibers. The FC/PC version of the air gap dual-lens collimator is currently available in ten design wavelengths: 405 nm, 450 nm, 520 nm, 635 nm, 780 nm, 850 nm, 980 nm, 1064 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm.
