The LBTEK Pitch and Yaw Rotary Translation Stage is designed to adjust the pitch, yaw, and rotation angles of the platform. All adjustments are made using micrometer heads with a graduation value of 10 μm. The platform features an array of M4 threaded holes, allowing the installation of mechanical components with the same thread specifications. The entire stage can be fixed to an optical table or breadboard using three Ø6.6 mm through-holes.
The LBTEK Pitch and Yaw Rotary Translation Stage is used for adjusting angles in three directions. Adjustments are made via the micrometer heads, with adjustable pitch and yaw angles of ±5°, where one full rotation of the micrometer head equals approximately 1.83° and the resolution is 0.037°. The adjustable rotation is ±10°, where one full rotation equals approximately 1.59° and the resolution is 0.032°. The rotation center is located along the vertical centerline of the platform, 12 mm above the surface. The platform includes an array of M4 threaded holes for securing mechanical components with matching threads.
The stage is equipped with locking knobs (which also help eliminate backlash), with two locking knobs in total. One is used to lock the pitch and yaw adjustments, while the other locks the rotational adjustment. During use, when adjusting the micrometer head, the locking knobs should be adjusted simultaneously to eliminate any backlash during the adjustment process.
Note: If the locking knob is tightened, it will also lock the corresponding axis' movement. In this case, there will be some resistance when adjusting another axis, so it’s necessary to adjust the position of the locking knobs appropriately to allow smooth adjustments of the other axes. After positioning, all axes should be locked into place.
