The LBTEK Angular Translation Stage allows precise rotation of an object around a fixed point within a small angular range. Similar to linear translation stages, the key difference is that the angular stage rotates around a fixed point above the installation surface, rather than providing linear motion. LBTEK has cleverly designed the distance between the rotation point and the installation surface, allowing two different models of angular translation stages to be stacked in an XY configuration, with both stages rotating around the same point.
The LBTEK Angular Translation Stage uses either curved ball bearing/cross-roller bearing guides or curved T-slot structures. The cross-roller bearing guide lowers the platform height, allowing for a more compact design. This is particularly important when stacking XY platforms, as the cross-rolling body structure is more stable under multi-directional forces. The curved T-slot structure is simple and cost-effective, offering further size reduction while maintaining ease of use.
The LBTEK Angular Translation Stage provides unobstructed, pure rotational motion within a certain angular range around a fixed rotation point. Due to its compact and stackable design, one stage can be fixed on top of another, creating a two-axis system, with their rotation points overlapping (e.g., mounting the AS65-1050L1 on the AS65-0875L1 ensures the rotation centers coincide, enabling XY-direction angle adjustment). The AS65-0850L2 model comes pre-integrated as a two-axis system, ready for direct application.
The micrometer heads provide accurate and repeatable positioning, and the side features a scale with 1° divisions. A manual locking screw on the side allows for locking the stage in place once the desired position is reached. The base has four M6 countersunk holes, allowing for installation on breadboards, optical platforms, or other translation stages using M6 screws.
