LBTEK BFT4-5C and BFT4-1P Four-Axis Adjustment Frames for Fiber Coupling Systems The BFT4-5C is designed for mounting cubes with a side length of 5 mm, such as polarization or non-polarization beam-splitting cubes, while the BFT4-1P is for mounting flat optical elements with a width of 12.7 mm and thickness of 1 mm, such as beam splitters or mirrors. When mounting beam-splitting optical elements in the 0-90° range, the coating side of the splitter should face the marked point for proper alignment, ensuring that the incident beam is aligned for beam splitting at the center of the mount. Both systems use UV glue for mounting.
The adjustment frame allows for pitch, tilt, and rotation adjustments to achieve precise beam alignment and directional control. Three threaded pairs control the pitch/tilt and rotation of the frame, enabling a maximum ±3° adjustment. The rotation direction allows for 360° coarse adjustment with scale marks every 5°, and differential scale accuracy of 1°. By locking the fine adjustment screws on the side, the top threaded pair can achieve ±12° fine adjustment, with approximately 2° per turn. Additionally, when all three threaded pairs in the vertical direction are adjusted to the same degree, these screws also allow for ±1 mm vertical adjustment.
All threaded pairs, including fine adjustment locking screws, use a 1.3 mm hex wrench, which is included. The adjustment frames can also be locked with a snap-ring wrench to prevent accidental movement. All wrenches are provided with one unit.
