The LBTEK polarization-maintaining single-mode adjustable optical attenuator is a passive optical device designed to reduce optical signal power, preventing damage to receiving equipment caused by excessive input power. LBTEK offers polarization-maintaining single-mode adjustable attenuators for various wavelengths. Each attenuator features two lenses and an attenuating device. One lens collimates the input light from the fiber, while the other lens focuses and couples the collimated light back into the fiber. The attenuation is achieved by adjusting a screw knob, which shifts the attenuating device between the two lenses, allowing the user to reduce the light intensity to the desired output power level. Polarization-maintaining single-mode optical attenuators are suitable for applications in optical communication systems, fiber testing instruments, and other fields.
