The LBTEK 5-axis fiber coupler/collimator with a 4.6 mm aspheric lens is available with A/B/C coatings, covering a wavelength range from 350 nm to 1700 nm. While keeping the connector and fiber fixed, the built-in lens offers five alignment degrees of freedom: X and Y linear translation, pitch and yaw angular adjustment, and Z-axis movement via pitch/yaw combination.
The XY adjustment range is ±0.7 mm with a resolution of 317 µm per turn. The Z-axis adjustment range is ±1.0 mm with a resolution of 200 µm per turn. For PM fiber alignment, the connector can be rotated by loosening the three flat-head screws on the front panel. Once alignment is complete, the side locking screws secure the XY position, while the locking ring on the Zθ adjuster fixes the pitch/yaw orientation.
For focal lengths ≤7.5 mm, the FC/PC version is compatible with both FC/PC and FC/APC connectors, as the combination of short focal length and 5-axis alignment minimizes off-axis deviation.
