Square core fiber

LBTEK offers square core fibers in five sizes: 100×100 μm, 200×200 μm, 400×400 μm, 600×600 μm, and 150×450 μm. Non-circular (square, rectangular) homogenizing fibers have unique modal disturbance characteristics that help in beam homogenization. When Gaussian-distributed laser light is input, a uniform top-hat beam profile can be obtained, with coupling efficiency higher than that of circular fibers. These fibers are the preferred choice for beam shaping applications, such as lighting.
