The LBTEK immersion Y-type quartz optical fiber is designed for use with fiber optic spectrometers for measuring absorbance and transmittance in solutions. The stainless steel probe, included with the fiber, is particularly suitable for embedding into industrial liquid flows for real-time sample monitoring.
The Y-type configuration consists of two fibers with a common end (7-core probe) used for measuring the sample. The probe's outer diameter is 6.35 mm, and its optical path length can be adjusted by the user within the range of 1 mm to 10 mm. The fiber bundle is split into two parts at the metallic section of the probe: one 6-core port connects to the light source for coupling the illumination light, while the 1-core port connects to the spectrometer for coupling the reflected light signal.
LBTEK's immersion fiber optic probe is compatible with the LBFS-TA1 reflectance measurement stand.
