LBTEK offers Faraday Rotators with various center wavelengths. When incident light enters the rotator in the forward (or reverse) direction, the polarization plane of the incident light will rotate due to the Faraday effect. The rotation angle θ = V * B * L, where V is a constant related to the transmission medium, commonly known as the Verdet constant; B and L are the magnetic induction intensity component and the medium length along the direction of light propagation, respectively. The LBTEK Faraday Rotator provides non-reciprocal rotation while preserving the polarization state characteristics of the incident beam. When the incident light passes through the Faraday rotator in the forward or reverse direction, its polarization plane will rotate by 45°, with the specific rotation direction depending on the properties of the medium and the direction of the magnetic field. It is important to note that the magnetic field strength of the magneto-optical crystal and the Verdet constant decrease with rising temperature. Therefore, it is recommended to use the device within a temperature range of 10°C - 30°C.
LBTEK Faraday Rotators can be used to rotate the polarization plane of the light beam and are widely applied in various laser systems, such as Erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, optical switches, optical modulators, etc. They effectively prevent optical damage or system instability caused by harmful reflected light. LBTEK offers custom services for Faraday rotators, including center wavelength, clear aperture, and average power specifications. Please contact us for customization requests.
