LBTEK Free-Space Isolator is a polarization-dependent isolator consisting of three components: the input polarization optical element, Faraday rotator, and output polarization optical element. The transmission angle between the input and output polarization optical elements is 45°. When light enters in the forward direction, the input polarization optical element acts as a polarizer, generating linearly polarized light that enters the Faraday rotator. The Faraday rotator rotates the linear polarized light by 45°, allowing the light to pass completely through the output polarization optical element. When light enters in the reverse direction, the Faraday rotator continues to rotate the polarization direction of the light in the same direction as the forward entry. At this point, the polarization direction of the light is rotated 90° relative to the incident light, becoming perpendicular to the transmission direction of the input polarization optical element. Therefore, LBTEK Free-Space Isolator is a passive magneto-optical device that only allows light to propagate in one direction.
LBTEK Free-Space Isolator is generally used to prevent optical systems or light sources from being affected by back-reflected noise or interference. The LBTEK Free-Space Isolator is available with multiple center wavelengths ranging from 405 nm to 1550 nm. Additionally, LBTEK offers customization services for working wavelength, size, average power, and other specifications. Please contact us for custom requirements.
LBTEK Free-Space Isolator is typically used to protect optical systems or light sources from backward reflection noise or interference. Multiple center wavelengths from 405 nm to 1550 nm are available.
Note: Before use, please loosen the baffle locking screws, rotate the baffle to align the light aperture with the escape window, and reflected light will be emitted through this window.
