LBTEK High-Precision Variable Magnification Beam Expander is primarily composed of three groups of lenses made from UV Fused Silica (UVFS), integrated into a mechanical housing with a Galilean structure. The relative displacement between the first and second lens groups adjusts the magnification of the beam expander, while the relative displacement between the second and third lens groups changes the divergence angle. The input end of the beam expander is engraved with position markings corresponding to each magnification, and the output end is engraved with both magnification and distance markings. For collimated incident light, when both the input and output ends are rotated to align with the corresponding position markings, a collimated expanded beam will be achieved at the specified magnification.
The standard LBTEK High-Precision Variable Magnification Beam Expander is available with magnifications of 1-3X, 1-4X, and 2-10X, and wavelengths of 355 nm, 532 nm, and 1064 nm. It is optimized for diffraction-limited performance, with no internal focus, making it highly suitable for high-power laser processing applications. Additionally, LBTEK supports custom orders for variable magnification beam expanders with different wavelengths and magnifications. Please contact us for more details.
The LBTEK 1X-3X Variable Magnification Beam Expander is made from UV Fused Silica (UVFS), optimized for diffraction-limited design. The lens group has a Galilean structure with no internal focus, making it suitable for most research and industrial applications. The beam expander can be installed in an optical system via a clamping mechanism. The standard working wavelengths are 1064 nm and 532 nm, and the expander allows for a magnification adjustment range of 1X to 3X for incident laser beam sizes.
