LBTEK Variable Magnification Laser Beam Expander consists mainly of three groups of lenses made from UV Fused Silica (UVFS), integrated into a mechanical housing with a Galilean structure. The relative displacement between the first and second lens groups changes the magnification of the beam expander, while the relative displacement between the second and third lens groups adjusts the divergence angle. The input end of the beam expander is engraved with position markings corresponding to each magnification, and the output end is engraved with position and distance markings for each magnification. For collimated incident light, when both the input and output ends are rotated to align with the corresponding position markings, a collimated expanded beam will be obtained at the specified magnification.
The standard LBTEK Variable Magnification Laser Beam Expander is available with magnifications of 1-4X and 2-10X, and wavelengths of 355 nm, 532 nm, and 1064 nm. It is optimized for diffraction-limited performance, with no internal focus and a locking structure, making it ideal for high-power laser processing applications. Additionally, LBTEK supports custom orders for variable magnification laser beam expanders with different wavelengths and magnifications. Please contact us for more details.
The LBTEK 1X-4X Variable Magnification Laser Beam Expander is made from UV Fused Silica (UVFS) and optimized for diffraction-limited design. The lens group has a Galilean structure with no internal focus, meeting the needs of most research and industrial applications. The beam expander can be installed in an optical system via a clamping mechanism and is locked in place using a set screw. The standard working wavelengths are 355 nm, 532 nm, and 1064 nm, with a magnification adjustment range of 1X to 4X for incident laser beam sizes. Note: Due to the replacement of old and new versions, there may be slight differences in the glossiness of the housing, but this does not affect the dimensions or optical performance.
