When using laser light sources and optical components, beam expansion and compression are common application requirements. LBTEK Large Aperture Fixed Magnification Laser Beam Expander is an optical system based on a telescope structure that can expand (or compress) the diameter of a parallel incident beam to a certain magnification. Through a low aberration, air-gap structure design, it can achieve a transmission wavefront deviation of less than λ/4 @633nm (i.e., reaching the diffraction limit). The expander lens is coated with an anti-reflection coating on one side, minimizing the reflection at the air-glass interface for the specified wavelength range. Compared to the typical 4% reflection on uncoated optical surfaces, the anti-reflection coating reduces the average reflection rate to below 0.5% for each surface in the specified wavelength range. The LBTEK UV Fused Silica Beam Expander provides threaded input and output apertures. The input end has an SM1.5 internal thread, and the output end has an SM3 external thread, making it easy to pair with LBTEK lens tubes and other optical components. When adjusting the input divergence angle with the fine-tuning rotary ring, the thread end and mounting surface are not moved, ensuring that the stability of the remaining components in the optical path is not affected during divergence angle adjustment. LBTEK also offers various customization services, including custom sizes, design wavelengths, expansion magnifications, and other specifications. Please contact us for custom requirements.
LBTEK Galilean Fixed Magnification Laser Beam Expander can expand or compress the diameter of the incident parallel beam to a certain multiple. The input end features a divergence angle fine-tuning structure, which can be fixed after alignment, ensuring the collinearity and stability of the output beam. Available magnifications include 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X, 7X, and 8X beam expanders.
